This collection includes architecural drawings of Washington University's Danforth Campus, West Campus, and Olin Library.

The collection includes material relating to the buildings of Washington University, including the laying of cornerstones, biographical information regarding individuals and organizations that buildings are named for, and other general reference materials.

Materials in this collection include photographs and slides documenting construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects on campus, and were predominantly taken by Facilities personnel. Most of Series 03 consists of planning documents from outside architectural or engineering firms contracted by the University.

The collection includes material relating to the Hilltop Campus Architectural Competition of 1899, including background information and competition drawings.

This collection is comprised of photographic prints created by Washington University’s Office of Public Affairs. A small number of images, most from prior to the 1920s, are from alternative sources.
