Materials in this collection include photographs and slides documenting construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects on campus, and were predominantly taken by Facilities personnel. Most of Series 03 consists of planning documents from outside architectural or engineering firms contracted by the University.

Historical Information

Facilities Planning and Management is responsible for buildings and physical infrastructure on campus, including new construction, renovation and maintenance.  Within this department Capital Projects and Records works with outside firms to coordinate major construction and renovation projects.


This collection is divided into two series as described below:

Series 01: Photographs and negatives (arranged alphabetically by building)

Series 02: Slides (arranged alphabetically by building)

Series 03: Bound Planning Documents for Campus Buildings (Arranged by building or complex, with “Title” given in quotations, Author / Firm, and (date) [noted in brackets if also available in library catalog, or if oversize])

Method of Acquisition

Series 01 and 02 were transferred to the University Archives in 2000-2001.  Materials in series 03 were transferred to the Archives at various times. Additional materials were transferred to the Archives in 2011.

Accruals and Additions

Accruals are interfiled within collection.

Processing Information

Series 01 and 02 processed by Kaitlyn Mauro and Hadley Davis in June 2011. Series 03 compiled by Rachel Wigen-Toccalino in February 2009. Updated by Sarah Schnuriger Summer 2016.
