The collection includes over 200,000 magazine tearsheets, 8000 magazines, 1200 books, and approximately 150 original works by American illustrators from the late 19th century well into the mid 20th century. Currently, the original works of art and reproductions of original art (series 1 through 5) are processed and included in this finding aid. The tearsheets, magazines, and books are still unprocessed and may not be readily available to researchers. Please call ahead.

Series 1, Sub-Series 2: Fudgie Comic Strip, ca.1970
Original artwork for a comic strip featuring a cast of characters: Harcourt Jones, known as Fudgie, his friend Leroy Brown, his romantic interst Lula, and Lula's sister Emmie, a romantic interest of Leroy. The comic strip depicts Fudgie in different scenes of daily life: with his dog, Elivs, at the doctor's office, barber, socializing with Leory, and at home with Lulla. The offical publishing entity and title of the comic strip are unkown.
