James Merrill Papers
The collection holds a wide variety of materials that document James Ingram Merrill's entire life.
The extensive correspondence is between Merrill and his family, friends, business associates, and others. Thousands of pages of heavily annotated notebooks, typescripts, worksheets, and galleys show Merrill's work towards poems, fiction, and drama. The audiovisual and personal material document other aspects of Merrill's life.
Claude Fredericks Collection of James Merrill Papers
Collection of James Merrill manuscripts, inscribed books, photographs, ephemera, publications and realia. All materials belonged to Merrill's close friend, Claude Fredericks, an American poet, playwright, printer, writer, and a professor of literature at Bennington College.

Modern Literature Recorded Multimedia Collection
The Modern Literature Audio Archive contains recordings of over 500 readings, talks, and lectures spanning more than 50 years. Most of the recordings are of events hosted by the English Department, Library, and International Writers Center. Other recordings come to us with authors' papers or are given by donors.

Eliot and William Matheson, a typescript [carbon] manuscript of critical review of Louise Bogan's Selected Criticism and Kenneth Burke's Book of Moments, a typescript draft of Quoting an also private thought [poem], and a clippings.
