The collection includes correspondence, newspaper clippings, minutes, programs, student lists, uniforms, scrapbooks, and other information compiled by various coaches and members of the Washington University Athletic Department and its predecessor departments.

This collection includes publications created and distributed by the Athletics Department. The Athletics Department oversees all sports and athletics on campus.

The Washington University Poster Collection consists of posters for various campus events as well as poster and flyers from the student bulletin board in Whispers Café in Olin Library. The collection is arranged roughly in chronological order.

The records of the Sports Information Office consist of files detailing statistics, rosters, game programs, and other information relating to the sports teams of Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, the second series is comprised of scrapbooks of newspaper clippings detailing Washington University sports.
