This collection contains articles written by and of interest to Holmes Smith as well as a scrapbook of photographs and drawings.  The material is arranged alphabetically by subject.

The collection consists of a number of bound volumes which describe Thias' life, teaching activities at Washington University, and architectural career. The collection also includes several folders of Thias' sketches and watercolors. These drawings depict buildings on the Washington University campus, St. Louis scenes, and Missouri scenes.
