Historical Note

Breakthrough: The Changing Face of Science in America is a six-part documentary series profiling 20 contemporary African-American, Latino and Native American scientists and engineers who are making advances in biology, astronomy, physics, mathematics and many other scientific disciplines.

Source of Acquisition

The collection was obtained from the Civil Rights Project, Inc. in 2001 and subsequent materials were obtained from Blackside, Inc. in 2002 and 2003.
