Scope and Contents
Autograph letter signed, on embossed Denmark Hill, S.E. stationery, from Ruskin to "My dearest George" (probably his assistant and publisher, George Allen). Ruskin comforts George, telling him "There is no reason to vex yourself" and reassuring his correspondent that "I can keep you from anxiety as to meeting bills." Ruskin closes by remarking that "Securities are a great nuisance -- except those of word and character, which I can entirely accept in you." Undated, 1 page.
