Biographical Information

R. Walston Chubb (1894-1977) was a St. Louis attorney with the firm Lewis, Rice, Tucker, Allen and Chubb (now Lewis, Rice and Fingersh). He helped initiate the Legal Aid Society (now known as Legal Services of Eastern Missouri) and continued to help the program until his death in 1977. Chubb was a pioneer in preserving open space within the St. Louis Metro area and started the St. Louis Area Open Space Council. Also, he was a former vice president of the American Ethical Union.
