Biographical Information
Margaret Alice Clinkard Gibson was born to Richard and Mary Clinkard in Littlemore, Oxfordshire in 1884. In 1908 she married Strickland Gibson (27 January 1877-18 February 1958), an English librarian, bibliographer, and bookbinding scholar who served as Keeper of the Archives at Oxford University from 1927 to 1945. Their daughter Margaret Ada Gibson was born in 1910 and their son, Strickland Hillary Gibson, lived from 1914 to 1959. Margaret Gibson died in 1973.
