The Isaac H. Lionberger Papers consist of Tutt family correspondence, 1821-1836, principally Robert Tutt to his family, written from Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Also includes a land grant, May, 10, 1826, Kentucky, signed by John Quincy Adams; Proclamation, condemnation for treason by German forces, 1915, including Edith Cavell. Also includes a land grant, May 10, 1826 (Kentucky), signed by John Quincy Adams, and a proclamation of death for treason and conspiracy, issued by by German forces in 1915, which includes Edith Cavell.

Biographical Information

Isaac H. Lionberger (August 20 1854 – 1948) was a St. Louis lawyer. He graduated from Princeton in 1887 and was appointed assistant attorney general of the United States in 1896.
