The George Engelmann Papers consists of letters from Engelmann to Garland Carr Broadhead concerning nomenclature and classification of plant specimens collected by Broadhead, with occasional other botanical notes. Included is one letter, March 1906, from Broadhead to the Academy of Science of St. Louis, giving the letters to the Academy and explaining their origin.
