Biographical or Historical Information

The Committee for Nuclear Information (CNI) was formed in the spring of 1958. After its formation, CNI resolved to collect and distribute information to the public about nuclear technology. Once the public had an informed opinion about this issue, CNI would then consult with public officials. The Committee for Environmental Information (CEI) was founded for a similar purpose: to increase public knowledge about modern science.
