Historical Information

The Urban Research and Design Center was established in 1965 to support theoretical academic scholarship for students advancing in the field of architecture.  In addition to developing an academic sensitivity for the needs of an ever-changing modern society, students also prepared several research projects for real urban areas, often mirroring their theoretical training.  Most notably, faculty and students at the Center have made great strides forward in promoting the seemingly endless design capabilities in the areas of Computer Aided Drafting and Electronic Imaging.  Many of the folders listed below chronicle the activities of the Mayor's Institute on City Development (MICD).
