Biographical or Historical Information
Chi Sigma Phi was founded locally at Washington University in St. Louis sometime near the 1919 –1920 school year. It was an organized sorority for three years, from 1919 – 1922 (for more details see the 1921, 1922, and 1923 Hatchet yearbooks). It is not present in the 1924 yearbook (which covers the 1922-1923 school year), or any yearbooks after, implying its disbandment. Nor are members listed with other sororities at the school.
Contemporary chapters of the same name, both fraternity and sorority, are not connected in any way to this particular sorority, as founded at Washington University in St. Louis during the early 1920s.
