Historical Information
A collection of materials on topics related to Washington University and St. Louis history that is obscure, difficult to locate, and / or frequently asked. It is not comprehensive, and researchers not located an individual or topic of interest should contact the Archives Staff for additional resources.
Topics include:
• Small histories / biographies by and about alumni, donors, and other persons with some connection to the University. (For faculty and trustees biographical see separate collection: Public Affairs Biographical Information Files).
• WUSTL history topics not related to a specific collection in the Archives, and also not specific to any campus building, school, or department.
• Very small donations (single folder or less) by alumni and others on general history topics / events, which do not fit with either an existing collection or the Washington University Memorabilia Collection.

Files are arranged into three series, and in alphabetical order by file.

Method of Acquisition
Materials were donated to the University by various alums and other individuals over the years, or were compiled by University Archives staff.
Accruals and Additions
Accruals are interfiled within the collection. Materials and topics are added periodically.
