The Office of Faculty Advancement and Institutional Diversity is committed to fostering a welcoming culture and ensuring that Washington University is a community where everyone is valued and respected. The Office of Faculty Advancement and Institutional Diversity is establishing an infrastructure to support and cultivate a stronger climate of diversity and inclusion at Washington University including the Bias Response Support System (confronting bias); understanding the data and makeup of our community today (charting progress); establishing best practices, creating foundational policies, and investing expert thought (planning an inclusive future); and from physical resources to support services (a campus accessible to all). We are investing in initiatives and programs that empower our community members to drive changes that will ensure Washington University is more welcoming to all including the Distinguished Visiting Scholars program, Teaching Center workshops, Day of Discovery and Dialogue, Women Faculty Leadership Institute, Stem Pipeline Consortium, PLAN, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, etc.
