Historical Information

Serving the Washington University community since 1911, the Campus Y is the largest student–run organization dedicated to developing ethical leaders of exemplary character by applying the principles of the Gateway Region YMCA in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis. As a branch of the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, the Campus Y offers community service programs that are student led and student run addressing a variety of issues, interests, and community needs. More than 800 students participate in their programs each year, providing much needed services throughout the community.
