Historical Information

The Irving Union was a voluntary association of the students of Washington University for the purpose of mutual improvement by debates and other exercises. A publication under the name, “The Irving Union,” was published from 1869 to 1877 and was a forerunner of “Student Life,” which began with a January issue in 1878.
