William Greenleaf Eliot Personal Papers
The papers of William G. Eliot include diaries, letters, published works, published and unpublished sermons and talks, newspaper clippings of articles written by or about Eliot, photographs; and biographical and other material about Eliot. Also included in the collection are enslavement documents, which include letters and bonds of indemnity as Eliot purchased enslaved persons in order to emancipate them.
John M. Olin Collection
This collection contains photos from the Western Cartridge Company, a book about Franklin W. Olin, John Olin’s father, and a guest book from Olin’s winter home. The collection is ordered by material type with the photos first, followed by two bound volumes.
Harry Brookings Wallace Personal Papers
Harry Brookings Wallace had a long history with Washington University. It started with his uncle, Robert S. Brookings, and continued with Wallace becoming a board member, a president and acting chancellor of the university. The collection documents Harry Brookings Wallace's work with the university, and his roles in St. Louis business history. The materials in the collection include correspondence, publications, personal materials, photographs, and scrap books.
